6.4.1 Thermal disinfection
WARNING : Risk of scalding !
During thermal disinfection . the domestic hot water is
heated to above 60 ac.
~ Only carry out thermal disinfection outside normal
hours of use.
~ Inform all parties concerned and make sure that at
mixing device is installed .
Perform thermal disinfection to kill off pathogens (e . g.legionella) on a
regular basis . For larger DHW systems. there may be legal requirements
(-7 regulation on drinking water) for thermal disinfection . Observe the
instructions in the technical documentation of the heat source .
