9.7 Compatibility test
All Rexroth controls and drives are developed and tested according to the lat‐
est state-of-the-art of technology.
As it is not possible to follow the continuing development of all materials (e. g.
lubricants in machine tools) which may interact with our controls and drives, it
cannot be completely ruled out that any reactions with the materials used by
Bosch Rexroth might occur.
For this reason, before using the respective material a compatibility test has
to be carried out for new materials (e. g. lubricants and cleaning agents) and
our housing or our housing materials.
9.8 Cooling
9.8.1 Forced ventilation (IC416)
BA1N energy storage devices can be delivered in the versions water-cooled
and force-ventilated. Cooling of this version takes place via a fan which air
stream is guided through air baffles over the surface of the energy storage
device.
The fan is designed to use clean air from its surroundings for cooling. If the
energy storage devices are used in heavily soiled or hazardous areas, spe‐
cial precautions must be taken.
The use of the fan under the following conditions is expressly not suitable:
● Delivery of air which contains abrasive particles
● Delivery of air which has a strongly corroding effect, e.g., salt mist
● Delivery of air which contains a high dust load, e.g., extraction of saw
dust
● Conveying of flammable gases/particles
Axial fan
The fan used is an axial fan. The fan is only available as "blowing" fan.
To ensure that the axial fan can move the required air volume, a minimum
distance for letting the air in and out must be kept between the fan grille and
the machine.
