2 Safety instructions
This chapter describes general safety re-
quirements and important information on the
safe assembly of the product.
2.1 About this chapter
The product has been manufactured accord-
ing to the generally recognized conventions
of current technology. However, there is still
a risk of personal injury or damage to equip-
ment if you fail to observe the information in
this chapter and the safety instructions
throughout the documentation.
Read this documentation completely and
thoroughly before working with the prod-
uct.
Keep this documentation in a location
where it is accessible to all users at all
times.
Always include the required documenta-
tion when you pass the product on to
third parties.
2.2 Intended use
The ErgoSpin/CC-ErgoSpin hand-held nut-
runner is partly completed machinery as de-
fined in the Machinery Directive 2006/42/
EC, see "Declaration of incorporation" begin-
ning on page 101.
The product may be used as follows:
for installation in partly completed machin-
ery, or in a machine or system
for performing tightening operations re-
quiring uninterrupted application of torque.
The product is intended for industrial use, not
for domestic applications.
The product may be commissioned only if it is
integrated in the machine/system for which it
is designed and the machine/system fully
conforms to the EU Machinery Directive. Ob-
serve the operating conditions and perfor-
mance limits specified in the technical data.
Operation of the hand-held nutrunner is only
permitted in accordance with the national
regulations governing electromagnetic com-
patibility (EMC) for the respective applica-
tion.
Only accessories and add-on units that have
been approved for use in Rexroth tightening
systems may be used therein. Non-approved
components must not be attached or con-
nected to the system.
The same applies for cables and lines be-
longing to the Rexroth tightening system.
Otherwise, functional and system safety will
be jeopardized.
Proper use includes having completely read
and understood this documentation, and par-
ticularly the chapter "Safety instructions".
For safety instructions relating to
the Rexroth tightening systems
and other troubleshooting instruc-
tions, please refer to the operating
system, e. g. BS350/BS350
CC-ES (until the BS350 standard
with V2.400
has been introduced).
This product is not suitable for
tightening processes requiring
stepwise tightening of the connec-
tion elements, e. g. impact
wrenches.
For instructions on EMC installa-
tions, refer to the documentation
for the respective component.
