9.1 Compressor repair kits - Instructions for compressor repair
9.1.1 Piston seal replacement kit RGB400230

1 Square piston seal
2 Dia 115 O-ring
3 Slyd ring
4 Dia 26 O-ring
1. Loosen the four cylinder bolts and remove manifold, valve plate and O-ring (Fig. 14, Pos. 4).
2. Slide the cylinder straight up off the piston.
3. Remove the piston seal (Fig. 14, Pos. 1), O-ring (Fig. 14, Pos. 2), and two slyd rings (Fig. 14, Pos. 3) from the piston.
4. Remove the remaining O-ring (Fig. 14, Pos. 4).
5. Install a new O-ring (Fig. 14, Pos. 2) in the top piston groove.
6. Install a new piston seal (Fig. 14, Pos. 1) over the O-ring (Fig. 14, Pos. 2). Install two new slyd rings
(Fig. 14, Pos. 3).
7. Place a new O-ring (Fig. 14, Pos. 4) into the groove in top main block.
8. Slide the cylinder unto the piston while holding the two slyd rings (Fig. 14, Pos. 3) in place.
9. Place the remaining new O-ring (Fig. 14, Pos. 4) into the valve plate and assemble with cylinder and manifold.
Install four cylinder bolts and tighten in a cross-pattern. Reinstall compressor into machine.
10. Pressure up the machine and check for leaks.
