1. Loosen the four nuts on the compressor body.
2. Remove seal plates and rings.
3. Remove crankshaft and inspect for any damage or foreign material. If the compressor has e-clips mounted on
crankshaft, remove the e-clips before crankshaft removal.
4. Using a snap ring tool, remove the two snap rings. Press-out the ball bearings (Fig. 17, Pos. 3).
5. Remove shaft seals (Fig. 17, Pos. 2).
6. Install a new O-ring unto the seal plate.
7. Press in new bearings (Fig. 17, Pos. 3) and shaft seals (Fig. 17, Pos. 2).
8. Reinstall crankshaft.
9. Install e-rings (Fig. 17, Pos. 4) (see detail A for orientation).
10. Install seal plates and secure with nuts, bolts and washers.
