9.1.7 Valve repair kit RGB800230
i The valve replacement kit contains four valve springs, four valves and eight O-rings.

1. Remove the valve plate from the cylinder head.
2. Remove and discard valves, springs and O-rings
from the valve plate and cylinder head.
3. Clean debris from the valve plate and inspect
sealing surfaces.
4. Lubricate and assemble new valves, springs and
O-rings to valve plate and cylinder head.
5. Align the tab on the valve plate with the notches
in cylinder head. Assemble the valve plate into
the cylinder head,
6. Assemble the cylinder head to the compressor arid
manually tighten head bolts.
7. Repeat this procedure on other side of the compres-
sor.
8. Torque the compressor head bolts on one side of the
compressor to 100 lbs-in using a crisscross pattern.
Re-torque the bolts to 150 lbs-in. Repeat this step on
the other side of the compressor.
9. Manually turn the compressor to ensure that there is
no binding.
10. Cap off the outlet fitting on top of the compressor,
and apply 80 - 100 psig of nitrogen (or air) at inlet
fitting. Check for leaks.
11. Move front panel into place, reconnect copper tub-
ing flare fittings and reassemble enclosure halves.
