4.2 Cleaning the collecting tray
4.3 Maintenance of exhaust-gas
sampling probe and exhaust-
gas sampling hose
The collecting tray of the RTM 430 must
be cleaned every six months as follows:
Disconnect the interconnecting cable
between RTM 430 and the emission
system analyzer or the emission analy-
sis measuring instrument.
Place the RTM 430 at an angle of
approx. 45° with the unit’s rear panel on
a clean surface (table or bench).
Undo the securing screws on the un-
derside of the unit and detach the coll-
ecting tray.
Clean the collecting tray with a clean
cloth. Use a suitable tool (e.g. a scre-
wdriver) to carefully remove stubborn
soot particles and then wipe clean with
a clean cloth.
Attach and secure the collecting tray to
the underside of the unit.
- Connect the interconnecting cable
between RTM 430 and the emission
system analyzer or the emission analy-
sis measuring instrument.
We recommend that the exhaust-gas
sampling probe and the exhaust-gas sam-
pling hose be blown through regularly
with oil-free compressed air.
! Always disconnect the exhaust-gas
sampling hose from the RTM 430
before blowing through.
Please use an extraction system
in order to prevent inhalation of
soot dust!
