6.5.2 Fault-finding RTM_E_4 Heater air curtain defective
Check the air heater in accordance with Chapter 6.3.3. Check the power
supply voltage ~24 V at X4, pin 1 - pin 2 (air heating, emitter side) and pin
4 - pin 5 (air heating, receiver side).
If OK, exchange defective air heater or motherboard/processor board.
RTM_E_5 Calibration date not set or expired
Check calibration date in accordance with Chapter 6.2.7. Set calibra-
tion date in accordance with Chapter 6.2.8.
Have calibration carried out by a responsible calibration authority.
RTM_E_6 Temperature sensor, exhaust gas, defective
Check power supply voltage +5 V at X14, pin 2 (+) and pin 3 (-).
If OK, exchange exhaust-gas temperature sensor or motherboard/pro-
cessor board.
RTM_E_7 Temperature sensor,
measurement chamber, defective
Check power supply voltage ~24 V at X2, pin 1 and pin 2.
If OK, exchange measurement chamber temperature sensor or mother-
board/processor board.
RTM_E_8 Receiver signal failure or too high
Function check of the emitter by visual inspection.
Does the LED light?
If so:
Conduct function test of receiver.
Read out receiver voltage (Chapter 6.4) with receiver plugged in:
Reading at gain 15 = 0.000 V
Receiver voltage with receiver unplugged:
Reading at gain 15 = 5.000 V
Exchange the receiver if no change in the receiver voltage is recognizable
or if only a slight change is recognizable.
If not:
Exchange emitter or motherboard/processor board.
RTM_E_9 Receiver signal too low
Emitter or receiver soiled. Clean emitter and receiver as specified in
Chapter 4.1.
Exchange emitter or receiver.
RTM_E10 Watched supply voltage error
Check power supply voltages +12 V and -12 V in accordance with
Chapter 5.3.
If OK, exchange motherboard/processor board.
RTM_E11 Calibration
Not relevant to servicing!
RTM_E12 Checksum error, parameter EEPROM
Exchange the motherboard/processor board in accordance with Chapter
5.4.
RTM_E13 Checksum error, program EEPROM
Exchange the motherboard/processor board in accordance with Chapter
5.4.
RTM_E14 Pressure sensor for ambient pressure defective
Currently irrelevant since no pressure sensor is fitted!
RTM_E15 Analog output for external recorder defective
Check the analog interface in accordance with Chapter 5.5.
