Camera Occurrences
There are several possible occurrences that can be attributed to communication failures related to
the IR camera.
Occurrence Symptoms Possible Causes
Decrease in cam-
era volume
• Restricted field of view
for navigation
• LEDs in camera lens
are not on
• Overheating
• Communication error between the Monitor
and Camera Carts
• IR light from another device causing interfer-
ence (e.g., pulse oximeter).
• Surfaces in the OR are unintentionally reflect-
ing IR light (e.g., reflective strips on clothing)
No power
Camera does not beep
during boot-up
• Problem with internal cabling
• Problem with external cabling
No communication
Camera does not beep
during application start up
• Communication error between Monitor and
Camera Carts: Check cabling
Not tracking mark-
er spheres proper-
ly
Software displays uniden-
tifiable gray marker
spheres in the camera
field of view
• IR light from another device causing interfer-
ence (e.g., pulse oximeter).
• Surfaces in the OR are unintentionally reflect-
ing IR light (e.g., reflective strips on clothing)
Camera motor
control does not

Pressing the motorized
camera control buttons

• Motor on/off switch is turned off: Turn switch
ON
• Communication error: Check cabling
• If green camera status LED is off, communi-
cation is not possible: Reboot device
