2.5 EM Tracking Unit
General Information
It is recommended to keep the EM Tracking Unit running for about 10 minutes before using the
system.
In order to maintain system accuracy over the defined system lifetime, Brainlab authorized
personnel must verify the accuracy of the EM Tracking Unit every three years.
Nearby equipment may disturb electromagnetic tracking. This can lead to the temporary
inability to track EM instruments. It may be necessary to move nearby equipment away
from the EM Tracking Unit to continue tracking.
