Why does my Brother P-touch E500 stop while printing a label?
    • L
      Lori YoungJul 27, 2025
If your Brother Label Maker stops printing labels mid-way, it could be due to a nearly empty tape cassette (indicated by striped tape). Replace the cassette. Alternatively, the batteries may be low, so replace them or connect the AC adapter directly to the label maker.

If your Brother Label Maker isn't printing after you press the Print key, ensure that you've entered text and that the tape cassette is correctly installed with sufficient tape. If the tape is bent, cut off the bent section and thread the tape through the tape exit slot. If the tape is jammed, remove the cassette, pull out the jammed tape, and cut it. Make sure the end of the tape passes through the tape guide before reinstalling the cassette.
