5.5 Electrical Connection
DANGER
Live wires.
Risk of electrical shock.
Electrical installation work must only be executed by qualified personnel.
Make sure that the power supply is compatible with the variable-frequency drive, see
Technical Data [66].
The electrical installation must comply with applicable national and international
standards.
Provide a lockable disconnect switch on the power line so that the machine is com-
pletely secured during maintenance tasks.
Provide an overload protection according to EN 60204-1 for the machine.
Busch recommends installing a C-curve circuit breaker.
Make sure that the variable-frequency drive, the motor and other electrical devices
will not be affected by electric or electromagnetic disturbance from the mains; if ne-
cessary seek advice from Busch.
Make sure that the cable is isolated from the acoustic cabinet via the provided cable
gland. The temperature inside the cabinet may reach 60°C.
Define the location of the power supply cable gland (PWS), choose between two pos-
sibilities illustrated below:
Electrically connect the control unit to the power supply and connect the protective earth
connection according to the electrical scheme, see Wiring Diagram Control Unit [28].
