NOTE
When the warm-up and cool-down modes are activated, an isolation valve (not included
in the scope of delivery of the vacuum pump) must be closed in order to allow the va-
cuum pump to operate at ultimate vacuum.
The isolation valve can be automatically controlled by the pump during the warm-up and
cool-down phases, see Optional Inlet Valve Control [40].
In this case, the valve will open and close according to the diagram available in the
chapter Conveying Condensable Vapours [39].
7.5.1 Conveying Condensable Vapours
Water vapour within the gas flow is tolerated within certain limits. The conveyance of
other vapours shall be agreed upon with Busch.
If condensable vapours are to be conveyed:
70° C or
30 minutes
* not included in the scope of delivery
• Close the isolation
valve*
• Warm up the machine
(WARM-UP MODE)
• Open the isolation
valve and perform the
process
• Cool-down the
machine
(COOL-DOWN MODE)
