What to do if my BW Technologies GasAlertMax detector alarms immediately?
    • A
      Alexis GibsonJul 27, 2025
If your BW Technologies Accessories detector alarms immediately upon turning on, several factors could be at play. If you're using a new sensor, allow it 5 minutes to stabilize; for a used sensor, wait 60 seconds. A low battery could also be the cause, in which case, replace the battery. Alternatively, the sensor itself may be triggering the alarm, necessitating a sensor replacement. Finally, check the sampling hose for obstructions; if clear, clean or replace the pump filter. If the issue persists, further guidance can be found in the Pump Alarm section.

If your BW Technologies Accessories detector isn't turning on, the issue likely stems from the battery. Try installing a new battery. If that doesn't work, replace the existing battery. If problems persist, it could indicate a damaged or defective detector.
