If the Detector Does Not Work
The detector’s electronics are protected from variations in
humidity and corrosive atmospheres. If you encounter a
problem, try the solutions listed in Table 13.
If you still are unable to correct the problem, contact BW
Technologies using one of the numbers on page 2.
Table 13. Troubleshooting Tips
Problem Possible Cause Solution
Detector does not turn on. No battery.
Depleted battery.
Damaged or defective detector.
→ Install battery.
→ Replace battery.
→ Contact BW. (See page 2.)
Detector enters alarm immediately
when turned on.
Sensor needs to stabilize.
Low Battery alarm.
Sensor Alarm.
Pump Alarm.
→ Used sensor: wait 60 seconds
New sensor: wait 5 minutes
→ Replace battery.
→ Replace sensor.
→ If the sampling hose is attached,
determine if it is obstructed.
If it is not, clean or replace the pump
filter. If this does not work, see page 30
or contact BW.
