Theuntreated water ows through the untreated
waterinletintothelterandtherefromtheinside
throughthelterelementtothecleanwateroutlet.
Impurities >90 µm are trapped on the inside of the
lter cloth. Depending on their weight and size,
these particles fall directly into the lower section of
thelterelementortheltercloth.Thelterelement
can be cleaned by backwashing at regular intervals.
Backwashing is carried out manually according to
the e󰀨ective principle of backwashing by suction
(suction-backwashsystem).Theltrationprocess
continues uninterruptedly even during backwashing,
asapprox.90%of theltersurfaceis constantly
availableforltering(nonstopltration).

Observe local installation regulations, general
guidelines and technical data.
Theremustbeaushofatleast3.5m

per hour for
backwashing, or a pressure of at least 2 bar during
backwashingbehindthelter.
Aconnectiontothesewagesystem(drainage)of
min. DN 50 must be available.
The installation site must be protected against frost
andmustguaranteetheprotectionofthelterfrom
solvent vapours, fuel oil, lees, chemicals of all types,
UVradiationandheatsourcesover40ºC.
Keep plastic parts free from oil and grease, solvents
and acids as well as basic cleaners. After hard
collisions and impacts (e.g. with unsuitable tools,
fallsontostoneoor,etc.) a plasticpartmustbe
replaced, even if there is no visible damage (danger
ofbursting).Avoidextremepressureblows.

The product is used for ltration of drinking and
industrial water to protect the water mains and the
connected ttings,equipment, machinery,tanks,
boilers and production facilities from malfunction
and corrosion damage caused by foreign particles.
Theproductcanalsobeusedforltrationofwell,
process, boiler feed, cooling and air conditioning
water. In these cases, advice must be obtained
from a specialist.
The product is unsuitable for oils, greases, solvents,
soaps and other lubricating media. Water-soluble
substancesalsocannotbeseparatedo󰀨.
The intended use presupposes that the lter is
installed, operated and maintained according to the
instructions and regulations of this documentation.
 

thosespeciedinthisdocumentationandinsec-
tion 3.1.
Not adhering to the prescribed maintenance and
service intervals.
Using spare parts and consumables not approved
by BWT.
 
The manufacturer is released from any liability if the
customer intentionally or forcibly removes guards
orsafetydevices,ifthecustomerwilfullymodies
or circumvents the same, or if the customer does
not follow the instructions in this operating manual
or on the system.
 
Observe all documents from suppliers that were
included with delivery. These are considered part
of this documentation and must not be changed
or removed.
