Corrective Action
The Maintenance Cartridge is
full.
After conrming that the printer
has stopped operating, replace the
Maintenance Cartridge.
Maintenance cartridge full.
The Maintenance Cartridge is
not installed.
Install the Maintenance Cartridge.No maintenance cartridge.

The Maintenance Cartridge is
almost full.
You can continue to print, but
prepare a new Maintenance
Cartridge to use when the message
for replacement is displayed.
Prepare for maint cart
replacement.
Rel lever is in wrong
position.
The Release Lever is pushed
back.
Pull the Release Lever forward.
Top cover is open. The printer has detected that
the Top Cover is open.
Open the Top Cover fully, remove
any foreign objects, and close the
Top Cover again.
If the error occurs again, turn off
the printer and wait a while before
restoring power.
No Maintenance Cartridge
capacity.
The Maintenance Cartridge
cannot absorb enough ink for
Printhead cleaning or other
operation.
After conrming that the printer
has stopped operating, replace the
Maintenance Cartridge.

Turn off the printer and wait at least
three seconds before restoring
power.
If the message is displayed again,
write down the error code and
message, turn off the printer, and
contact your Canon dealer for
assistance.

The last portion of roll paper
was used during a print job, and
paper could not be advanced
because the trailing edge is
taped to the roll.
Turn off the printer and remove the
roll before restoring power.

Cover, and remove the tape or Belt
Stopper before restoring power.
