9. Remove flange cover, then remove suction
filter.
10. Remove suction filter element and replace it
with a new one.
11. Install suction filter, then flange cover.
12. Open filler cap and fill fluid until fluid level is
within fluid level window. Put filler cap back
in place.
13. Start engine to circulate the fluid. Watch for
leaks.
14. Stop engine and inspect fluid level. If it
is low, add fluid until it is within fluid level
window.
15. Close engine hood.
• Do n o t d am ag e oil seal . I f oil seal i s
damaged, use a new filter cartridge.
• D o N O T u s e t h e f i l t e r w re n c h w h e n
tightening the filter cartridge. Tighten it by
hand.
NOTE
9. Screw in the new line filter cartridge. Tighten
it by hand until the cartridge is firmly in place.
