Safety
Analyzer is operating
- Never open or unscrew analyzer’s casing parts while it is
switched ON. There is a risk of injury due to moving parts as
fans, pumps, motors or any other mechanical movements.
Biological Ma-
terial
Risk of Infection
- Wear gloves in all cases if there is a risk of infection.
- Avoid any direct contact with samples that are potentially in-
fectious. On cdR analyzers normally the reagents used togeth-
er with sample materials to test are not potential infectious.
In case of a contamination, immediately use a suitable skin
disinfection solution. Ask your doctor for aid.
- If sample material or reagent is spilled onto the analyzer, wipe
it o immediately and refer to the chapter !2 Maintenance and
Hygiene.
- Do not open a waste bottle as long as the analyzer is in pro-
cess.
Reagents and
Controls
- Observe the suggestions in the package inserts for an exact
use of the reagents and quality controls. Note that reagents
and quality control material can be biological material!
- Don’t use Reagents, Controls and other Liquids after expira-
tion date!
- Avoid any liquid penetration into the analyzer.
Restrictions Samples, Reagents and Controls
- For consumables no guarantee can be provided for any re-
sistance against organic solvents. For this reason, do not use
any organic solvents unless such solvents are expressly indi-
cated.
- Do not use any other rinsing or cleaning solutions as recom-
mended by the manufacturer or representative.
- Waste liquid has to be disposed in compliance with the legis-
lation.
