Powering O the
RT4
Short-term Storage
When you plug the tablet into the wall charger that comes with it, the
baeries are prevented from being overcharged.
Charge the RT4 to 100% then power it o:
1. Press and hold the power buon for 2-3 seconds.
2. A message is shown asking you to slide the screen down to shut down
your device.
Long-term Storage
To power o the RT4 for long-term storage, follow these steps:
1. Power o the RT4 as described in the previous secon, Short-term
Storage.
2. Press and hold the power buon for 20 seconds. This disconnects the
baeries from the system.
3. Take out the removable baery and store it in a cool, dry locaon.
4. When you are ready to power on the RT4, replace the baery pack.
Plug in the AC wall charger and connect it to the RT4 BEFORE you
power it on.
CAUTION: Only use baeries designed for the RT4 from an approved
vendor. Use of non-approved baeries may void your product warranty.
The RT4 must be returned to the factory for replacement of the oponal
internal baery, although the internal baery pack is designed to last the
life of the tablet.
CAUTION: The unit is not designed to run on external power without a
baery installed. Doing so can damage internal components of your unit
and void the warranty.
