Section 5 – Operating and Control Settings
Manual Spin Mode
It may occasionally be desirable to manually run the Model 860 coiling bowl to test its operation
separate from the control of the material processing machine. To activate the Model 860 coiling
bowl manually, press the MANUAL SPIN button under “OPERATING MODE”. The green
manual LED will illuminate. To stop the coiling bowl, press the NORMAL OPERATION
button.
The speed of the Model 860 coiling bowl may be controlled by adjusting the speed “RANGE
ADJUST” control while the coiling bowl is spinning. If a different speed range is desired, press
the NORMAL OPERATION button to stop the coiling bowl rotation, and then press the
desired speed “RANGE SELECT” button. The coiling bowl may then be turned on manually by
pressing the MANUAL SPIN button again under “OPERATING MODE”.
When the operating mode is set to manual spin, the “CONTROL MODE” options are to be
ignored.
