Coiling Bowl Speed, Restart Dwell, and Discharge Spin Time Settings
1. The speed “RANGE SELECT” and speed “RANGE ADJUST” settings will be
application-dependent based on the material processing machine settings. When initially
setting up the Model 860, set speed “RANGE SELECT” to speed 2 by pressing the SPD2
button. Rotate the speed “RANGE ADJUST” control to approximately midpoint.
Note: The speed “RANGE SELECT” buttons (SPD1, SPD2, SPD3, and SPD4) cannot
be adjusted while the Model 860 coiling bowl is spinning.
2. The “RESTART DWELL” controls the amount of time the operator has to remove the
processed piece of material before the next piece of material begins processing. When
initially setting up the Model 860, set “RESTART DWELL” to the 10 second position.
Once the operator is comfortable with the timing of the entire process, this setting may be
adjusted to meet the operator’s comfort level.
Note: The “RESTART DWELL” setting is only applicable when the Model 860 is
electronically interfaced with a Carpenter Mfg. Co., Inc. material processing machine.
3. The “DISCHARGE SPIN TIME” should be set to zero (0) and should not be used when
processing material with the Model 860.
