Coiling Bowl Insert Set
The Model 860 utilizes a unique coiling bowl and adjustable tube assembly that can coil material
to a specific finished coil diameter, utilizing interchangeable coiling bowl inserts. When
ordering PN 8697 coiling insert set(s), specify the desired finished coil diameter(s) and Carpenter
Mfg. Co., Inc. will machine the coiling bowl insert set(s) accordingly.
Follow the steps below to change the coiling bowl insert set.
1. Using a 9/64” hex wrench, remove the twelve (12) PN 3876 cap screws and the twelve
(12) PN 5418 washers from the outside of the coiling bowl.
2. Remove the existing coiling bowl inserts from the coiling bowl.
3. Place the new coiling bowl inserts into the coiling bowl and properly align the coiling
bowl insert holes with the coiling bowl holes.
4. Using the twelve (12) PN 3876 cap screws and the twelve (12) PN 5418 washers
removed in step 1 above, tighten the new coiling bowl inserts into place.
