⑥ two way valve (liquid)
⑦ flare nut
⑧ liquid pipe (small diameter)
⑨ gas pipe (large diameter)
⑩ indoor unit
⑪ outdoor unit
⑫ vacuum pump
● For air purge, use a vacuum pump.
● Do not use the compressor in the outdoor unit as a vacuum pump.
● Do not use the refrigerant in the unit to remove the air inside the pipes.
● No additional refrigerant for air purge.
① Connect the gauge manifold and the vacuum pump.
② Operate the vacuum pump connected to three way valve until the pressure
reaches 50Pa (0.5mbar).
③ Open the valve on the liquid side for about three seconds and close it again
quickly. Check for leakages.
④ After checking for leakages, fully open the three way valve.
⑤ Close the cap and check for leakages.
⑥ When all the pipe connection tasks are finished, use a HFC refrigerant leakage
detector to check for leakages.
⑦ When all the connections are made, use soapy water to check leakage. Wrap the
joint with insulations and tapes.
