3. HARDWARE DESCRIPTION
3.1. General Description
The 19 Series Carrier® SmartVu
TM
control system consists of one main control board (Carrier®
SmartVu
TM
board), an ISM (Integrated Starter Module) for fixed speed chiller or freestanding VFD
configuration and several IOBs and SIOB per system configuration requirements. All boards
communicate via an internal LEN bus. For the drivers (for example Rockwell and Eaton driver) which
don’t integrate Carrier LEN protocol, the Carrier® SmartVu
TM
board communicate with the drivers via
Modbus.
