Above step automatically turns on your handset’s Bluetooth
®
power,
even if it is turned off.
4. The handset will prompt you with the following message on the
main display: PLACE DEVICE YOU ARE CONNECTING TO IN
DISCOVERABLE MODE. Press the Center Select Key [OK].
5. The device will appear in the ADD NEW DEVICE menu. Select
the device you wish to pair with, then press the Center Select Key
[PAIR].
6. The handset may prompt you for the passkey. Consult the
Bluetooth
®
accessory instructions for the appropriate passkey
(typically “0000—4 zeroes). Enter the passkey, then press the
Center Select Key [OK].
NOTES
You do not need to input the passkey for pairing when the
passkey of the Bluetooth
®
Headset or hands-free kit is 0000.
For pairing with devices that do not have pre-defined passkeys,
it is recommended that you use at least 8 characters as the
passkey.
7. The handset will prompt you with the following message on the
main display: Before Connecting To [Device Name]. If you would
like to always confirm before connecting to the Bluetooth
®
device,
select Always Ask, then press the Center Select Key [OK]. The
handset will prompt you with the message Connect to [Device
Name]. Select Yes, then press the Center Select Key [OK]. If
you do not wish to confirm every time before connecting to the
Bluetooth
®
device, select Always Connect, then press the Center
Select Key [OK].
