Why Champion Air Compressor machine will not start?
    • A
      Andrew FischerAug 13, 2025
The Champion Air Compressor might not start due to a tripped thermal overload, a screw over temperature, or a blown control fuse (CSU S/D Only). Check the overload setting and reset it if needed. The control pressure setting may be too high. Inspect the cooler for blockages, check the fan operation and oil level, and verify the machine's location. If it's a fuse issue, replace the fuse.

Why Champion ci 40 Air Compressor starts with difficulty?
    • J
      John SanchezAug 16, 2025
A Champion Air Compressor might start with difficulty because of low power supply voltage, oil on the belts, low belt tension, drive misalignment, intake valve opening on startup, or solenoid energized on startup (CSU S/D Only). Check the mains supply, replace the belts (and check the cause of the oil), check the belt tension, align the drive system, and check the intake and solenoid valve operation; replace if necessary.

What causes excessive oil consumption in a Champion ci 40 Air Compressor?
    • K
      Kevin GuerreroAug 20, 2025
Excessive oil consumption in the Champion Air Compressor can be caused by an oil leak in the piping or the compressor carrying over oil. Remake any leaking joints. Check for purge flow and replace the separator element.

What to do if my Champion Air Compressor does not provide enough air?
    • P
      Paula GriffinAug 25, 2025

    • M
      michaellaneAug 27, 2025
If the motor starts but the Champion Air Compressor doesn't load (CSU S/D Only), the plant pipework may already be pressurized, or the solenoid valve might be faulty. Lower the system pressure and replace the solenoid valve.

What to do if Champion ci 40 Air Compressor does not stop or unload?
    • A
      Alan BowenAug 31, 2025
If the Champion Air Compressor doesn't stop or unload and the safety valve blows, the control pressure switch may be set too high. Set it to the correct pressure. Also, check the solenoid valve and replace it if required. Inspect the MPV and service it if needed.

What to do if Champion ci 40 belts are slipping?
    • G
      garrettrobertsonSep 4, 2025
If the belts are slipping on your Champion Air Compressor, it could be due to oil on the belts, worn belts, or incorrect belt tension. Replace the belts and identify the source of the oil or wear. Retension the belts.

What to do if there is oil in the inlet filter of my Champion ci 40 Air Compressor?
    • J
      Jeffrey JacksonSep 8, 2025
