APPLYING STATISTICS TO YOUR BREAK TEST

RESULT

The DFS II Series gauge will calculate statistics

for your Break Test results saved in the gauge

memory. The gauge will calculate and display the

following:

n Mean

n CoefcientofVariation(COV)

n % Difference

n Standard Deviation

The “Statistics” function is part of the “Save” function

within the DFS II Series gauge. To calculate and

display statistics from the Home display, select the

F3 (More) key. Then select the “i” key. Next select

the F3 (More) key for gauge statistics.

View Mean

TherstcalculatedstatisticisMean.TheDFSII

Series gauge will display the average of the number

of results saved in memory. In addition to the Mean

value, the gauge will also display the Maximum and

Minimum values on which the Mean was calculated.

Select the F1 (Xmit) key to transmit the displayed

information through the digital output port.

Select F2 (COV) to calculate and display the next

statistic-CoefcientofVariation.

Select F3 (More) to go to the next statistical

operand- % Difference.

View COV (Coefcient of Variation)

COV is displayed after Mean. The DFS II Series

gauge will display the COV value and the Standard

Deviation and Mean used to calculate this result.

Select the F1 (Xmit) key to transmit the displayed

information through the selected communications

port.

Select F2 (%Diff) to calculate and display the next

statistic- % Difference.

Select F3 (More) to go to the next statistical

operand- Standard Deviation.
