1 DESCRIPTION
Description
The innovative MICRO-RAY is a multi-ray microwave barrier (1, 2, 3 or 4 rays) for external
perimeter protections up to 100m.
The microwave rays have a diameter of about 40/50 cm similar to an infrared barrier but with all
the following advantages:
➢ Immune to fog, rain, snow, hail, wind, sandstorms, etc.
➢ Immune to light reflections and solar glare
➢ No need to clean the polycarbonate cover
➢ The microwave rays are invisible to the human eye and cannot be located on the column
unlike the infrared that can be identified by the transmitter point
➢ No need for heaters
➢ Very low consumption (around 118 mA per ray)
➢ Extended temperature range from -35°C…+65°C
➢ FULL IP & PoE
The barrier is able to detect the interruption of the rays between column "A" and column "B",
caused by the presence of a body that moves within the sensitive field.
The signals received from the single rays are analysed and evaluated by a microprocessor
according to behavioural models (Fuzzy logic Analysis), based on the settings, allowing to achieve
excellent detection performance, and an extremely limited number of false alarms. A complete
and efficient sound testing and qualification system allows for simple installation and
maintenance.
On the Transmitter and Receiver boards there are "MAC Address" labels, which can be used with
the Quasar control unit to activate the auto-configuration function.
