4) Other status
(1) Paper near end
• Error description: When the paper roll diameter becomes small, the paper near
end sensor is activated to notify that the remaining paper is
short. (When MSW2-8 is set to OFF (PNE enabled))
• POWER LED: Lit
• ERROR LED: Lit
• Recovery condition: Set a new roll of paper.
(2) Paper end
• Error description: When the paper sensor in the paper path near the print head
detects the end of paper, the ERROR LED lights up and the
printing operation stops.
• POWER LED: Lit
• ERROR LED: Lit
• Recovery condition: Set a new roll of paper.
(3) Platen open
• Error description: When the platen is opened during standby, the ERROR LED
lights up.
• POWER LED: Lit
• ERROR LED: Lit
• Recovery condition: Close the platen.
(4) Macro execution wait
• Description: Waiting for macro execution
• POWER LED: Lit
• ERROR LED: Blinks at long intervals.
• Recovery condition: Press the FEED switch.
5) Error related to black mark (option) specification
(1) Black mark detection error (automatically recoverable)
• Error description: When a black mark cannot be detected or a roll of paper in use
is out of specification, the printer falls into the BUSY status.
• POWER LED: Lit
• ERROR LED: Blinks twice at long intervals, and blinks three times at short
intervals, repeatedly.
• Recovery condition: Set a specified roll of paper.
* If the black mark paper specification is selected with the memory switch on the printer that is
not equipped with the black mark sensor, set the memory switch to the heat-sensitive paper.
