8 Operator’s Manual - BSW 28
How to load and unload the machine from a van or a truck
1. Check that the loading ramp is not longer than 8 feet (2.5 m) and not wider than 30 in (76 cm). Its thickness must be
adequate to support the machine and operators’ weight.
2. Check that the ramp is dry and clean.
3. Position the ramp properly.

4. Clarke recommends tying down the machine when transporting.
MACHINE TRANSPORT PROCEDURES
WARNING!
This machine is heavy. Machine transfer must be performed by qualified personnel only. Machine transfer on
steep ramps must be performed by two well-trained operators only. Always move it slowly. Do not turn the
machine on slopes. Do not leave the machine unattended on slopes. Loading ramp width must not be less than
30 in (76 cm).
WARNING!
Stop the machine on horizontal planes. When stopping the machine, always turn all the switches to the off
position.
