NOTE: If LATCH system does not stay securely attached
to either of the vehicle lower anchorages or Base
cannot be securely installed using LATCH in that seating
location, try a different seating location or install using
the vehicle belt. See “Installing Car Seat Base With
Vehicle Belt” on page 64 .
Step 10 (skip to step 11 if not using Load Leg)
Extend Load Leg and lock into position as shown in
Figure 47:
Pull out and hold bottom of Load Leg Adjustment
Handle (1).
Grasp Load Leg and pull down to extend Load Leg
until it touches the vehicle floor (2).
Release Adjustment Handle and push down on Load
Leg to lock into position.
Confirm that Load Leg Pressure Indicator has turned
from red to green, as shown in Figure 48. If Indicator
remains red after the Load Leg has been locked into
position, extend Load Leg one position further to
increase the contact between the vehicle floor and the
Load Leg.
