10. Enter the basket by lifting the self-locking
closing bar and using the underlying step;
11. ensure that the bar is back to the closing
position; fasten the safety harness to the
proper safety anchorages in the basket
frame.
It is forbidden to overload the basket ex-
ceeding its maximum allowed nominal ca-
pacity.
4.4.4 Basket levelling
12. After making sure the stabilization consent
light 8 (Picture 4) is on, level the basket us-
ing the platform control (operating) stations
(par. 3.1): press both the dead man lever 12
and the joystick lever J1 (Picture 8) for bas-
ket leveling control, in case the floor is out
of level.
Carry out the basket levelling only when
the MEWP aerial part is in transport con-
figuration.
It is strictly forbidden to level the basket
with the machine developed.
4.4.5 Use of the aerial part
13. After making sure the aerial part consent
light 7 (Picture 4) is on, using the platform
control (operating) stations, carry out the
MEWP aerial part operations by the manip-
ulators described in the paragraph 3.2.1.
First lift the booms, in order to rise it from
the support.
It is strictly forbidden to rotate the turret as
first movement, since it could seriously
damage the carpentry.
It is forbidden to enter or exit the work plat-
form at different levels, when the machine
is developed.
It is forbidden to increase the outreach or
working height of the MEWP by using ad-
ditional equipment.
It is forbidden to use the MEWP as a lifting
device.
