16. Half fill the tank with fresh, clean hydraulic oil then refit the filler cap securely.
17. Start the engine, raise the forks off the ground, retract the reach fully then lower
the forks fully.
18. Turn the ignition key switch to the ‘0’ off position, then remove the key.
19. Add hydraulic oil through the filler neck until the oil level is half way between the
top and bottom of the sight glass (F). Refit the filler cap securely.
20. Clean up any oil spills immediately.
21. Operate the truck until the oil becomes warm then check the oil level.
22. Check around the drain plug (B) and the access panel (C) for oil leaks.
23. Dispose of waste oil and used filter elements in compliance with local
regulations.
24. Clean up any oil spills immediately.
Hydraulic Tank Breather
The hydraulic tank breather is mounted on the top of the hydraulic tank.
The hydraulic tank breather should be replaced at regular intervals in accordance with
the maintenance schedule.
To change the hydraulic tank breather:
1. Stop the truck in a designated service
area.
2. Lower the mast fully and tilt the mast
forward fully.
3. Turn the ignition key switch to the ‘0’ off
position, then remove the key.
4. Clean the used breather (A) and the
surrounding area thoroughly before
removing the used breather.
5. Unscrew and remove the used breather
from the top of the hydraulic tank.
6. Fit a new breather. Use a genuine OEM
component.
