4. CALIBRATION
The ST650EX / ST650-CO
2
/ ST350EX sensing head should be checked and calibrated when
the maximum range has been exceeded or at least every 6 months or more. The calibration
frequency is directly related to the measurement range, the sensor, the type of gas and the
environmental circumstances.
All necessary calibration points are available on the PCB of the ST650EX / ST650-CO
2
/ ST350EX
The ST650EX / ST650-CO
2
/ ST350EX feature 2 calibration settings: the “zero” and “span” level.
The calibration of the span level should be carried out using certified calibration gas. For
flammable gasses (Catalytic Bead sensors and NDIR) no humidified gas is required.
The measurement range of the sensing head is 4-20mA. 4mA equals “0”, 20mA equals the end
of the measurement range. The measurement range depends on the calibration and is stated
on the type label of the sensing head.
Requirements for calibration ST650EX / ST650-CO
2
/ ST350EX
Allen wrench (for lock nut)
Flow adapter
Calibration screw driver
Digital multi-meter (capable of 0-25mA DC measurement)
Certified calibration gas (span gas)
Synthetic air (optional)
Water bottle (only for ST350EX)
If the sensing head is equipped with a LC-display only the following is required:
Flow adapter
Certified calibration gas (span gas)
Synthetic air (optional)
Water bottle (only for ST350EX)
