6.1.4 Leak Test Stages
Charge delay DL1
• Sealing stabilization wait
• Differential pressure offset check
Assumes an excessive differential pressure sensor zero point if there is an
offset of -300 Pa or less of +300 Pa or more when this stage times out.
• Clamp signal output (option)
Transmits clamp and working signals externally. If these signals are used
to drive a clamp fixture or any other tool, adjust this stage timer to let the
clamp complete before moving on to the CHG stage.
Charge CHG
• Charges the master and tested part with a test pressure.
• Test pressure error detection:
An error indication is output if the test pressure has not reached the
specified pressure when this stage times out.
Balance
delay
DL2
•
Seals the air inside the master and tested part. Waits for pressure
variations caused by valve action to diminish.
• Air-operated valve action check:
The high-pressure model C and the external pressure capsule model C
use a pressure switch to check the air-
operated valves for successful
action at the end of this stage.
• Large leak judgement
Assumes a large leak failure when the differential-pressure sensor output
has shifted by ±1000 Pa or more.
Balance BAL
• Balancing leak judgement:
The auto-zero function is executed for leak judgement in BAL stage
leak rate is displayed on the leak rate indicator in the selected unit for
judgement.
• Balancing limit settings for the master and tested part are displayed on the
limit setting indicators HI and LO in the selected unit.
Detection DET
• Detection leak judgement:
The differential pressure value compensated by the Master-Preset value is
displayed in the selected unit at the end of this stage and the judgement
value is held.
• Detection limit settings for the master and tested part are displayed on the
limit setting indicators HI and LO in the selected unit.
End delay DL3
• Judgement action
Exhausts air from the master and tested part to generate judgement result
output externally. Issues error information on errors that may be detected
during measurement.
• Carries out cleaning by air blowing and checks the differential-pressure
sensor sensitivity and air-operated valves, but not when this stage timer is
0.
• If the exhaust interference control is on
Carries out exhaustion, air blowing, and checks when the start signal is off.
End END
• Generates an end signal.
Stabilization STB
• Stabilization time while sampling Master-Preset values:
Normal leak testers do not have this stage.
