Troubleshooting guide
Thewireless sensors are
not transmitting any data to
theindoor unit.
Thedisplay shows “--.-”.
• When theindoor unit loses contact with asensor,
either “--.-” or “--” is shown on thedisplay.
• To search for sensors: Press and hold [ CHANNEL/+ ]
for 3 seconds. Press [ CHANNEL/+ ] or [ HISTORY/− ]
and select thesensor that is to be reconnected.
Confirm your selection by pressing [ MODE/SET ].
The
symbol appears while thesearch is taking
place. When thesensor has been found, thesymbol
disappears and thevalue appears on thedisplay.
• Check thedistance between thesensors and
theindoor unit. This distance should normally be
between 1.5m and 30m.
• Try placing thesensors higher up.
• Check that thesensors’ displays are working/LED
indicators are flashing (once every 60seconds).
• Insert new batteries into thesensors. In areas with
acold climate, lithium batteries are recommended.
• Check that thebatteries in theindoor unit are not flat.
Even if theindoor unit is being powered by mains
electricity, flat batteries can also cause problems when
it tries to find thesensors.
• Check that theradio signal is not subject to
interference from nearby metal constructions, etc.
• Move theindoor unit away from other electronic
devices, such as routers, computers and televisions.
Thetemperature sensor
shows daytime values that are
too high.
Check that thethermometer/hygrometer is mounted in
alocation that is shaded from thesun. If possible, mount
thesensor in anorth-facing direction.
Theindoor and outdoor sen-
sors show different values.
Allow thesensors to stabilise for up to 1 hour.
Thetemperature values should be within 1°C (accuracy
±0.5 °C) and thehumidity values should be within 6%
(accuracy ±3%).
Where necessary, adjust thesensors in theindoor unit
(see theCalibration section).
Thecontrast of thedisplay
is poor.
Replace thebatteries in theunit.
Thebackground lighting does
not change colour as expected.
Check thesettings (see theSettings/adjustments section).
If thebackground lighting is to reflect theoutdoor
temperature, ensure that theoutdoor sensor is set to
channel 1.
Thedisplay indicates
precipitation although it is
not raining.
Make sure therain gauge is mounted in astable manner.
If thegauge is not properly fitted (e.g. attached to
anunsteady mast), thesensor can transmit incorrect values.
