14. PERIODIC SERVICE

Always complete the designated daily checkpoints 
before attempting to start or operate the tractor. 
Failure to complete these checkpoints could result in 
personal injury or decrease the service life of the 
tractor and its parts.
To avoid personal injury:
●Before attempting to check or service the 
tractor, always make sure it is on a level surface, 
the engine is shut off, the parking brake is 
engaged, and full weight of the implement is on 
the ground.
■ Visual Checks
Before service or operation, always check under and 
around the tractor for parts that may have come loose, 
build-up of grease or dirt, leakage, and broken or worn 
parts.
■ Refill the Fuel Tank
IMPORTANT: Avoid damage.
●NEVER use a galvanized container to store fuel. 
Diesel fuel in a galvanized container reacts with the 
zinc coating in the container to generate zinc flakes. 
If the fuel contains water, a zinc gel will also occur. 
The zinc gel and flakes will quickly clog the fuel filter 
and damage the fuel injection nozzle and fuel pump.

Diesel fuel should comply with the following 
specifications. The table lists several worldwide 
specifications for diesel fuels.
