show sntp
Purpose Used to display the SNTP information.
Syntax
show sntp
Description This command will display SNTP settings information including the source IP address,
time and poll interval.
Parameters None.
Restrictions None.
Example usage:
To display SNTP configuration information:
DES-1228/ME:4#show sntp
Command: show sntp
Current Time Source : System Clock
SNTP : Disabled
SNTP Primary Server : 10.1.1.1
SNTP Secondary Server : 10.1.1.2
SNTP Poll Interval : 30 sec
enable sntp
Purpose To enable SNTP server support.
Syntax
enable sntp
Description
This will enable SNTP support. SNTP service must be separately configured (see config
sntp). Enabling and configuring SNTP support will override any manually configured
system time settings.
Parameters None.
Restrictions Only Administrator-level users can issue this command. SNTP settings must be configured
for SNTP to function (config sntp).
Example usage:
To enable the SNTP function:
DES-1228/ME:4#enable sntp
Command: enable sntp
Success.
