1.4.8 89-01 – Water heat exchange freezing
abnormality
Trigger Effect Reset
Warning 89‑02 or
89‑03 occurred 3
times, with less than
30minutes between
each warning.
Unit will stop
operating.
Manual reset via user
interface.
To solve the error code
INFORMATION
It is recommended to perform the checks in the listed
order.
1 Perform a check of the heat exchanger thermistor. See
"2.23Thermistors"on page82.
Possible cause: Faulty heat exchanger thermistor.
2 Perform a check of the hydro PCB. See "2.14 Hydro PCB"on
page58.
Possible cause: Faulty hydro PCB.
3 Perform a check of the refrigerant circuit. See "3.2Refrigerant
circuit"on page92.
Possible cause:
▪ Stop valve is closed,
▪ Clogged refrigerant circuit,
▪ Refrigerant circuit NOT charged correctly,
▪ Humidity in the refrigerant circuit,
▪ Non-condensables in the refrigerant circuit,
▪ Leaking refrigerant circuit.
4 Check the water flow. See "3.3Water circuit"on page95.
Possible cause: Water flow is too low.
5 Check the water pressure. See "3.3Water circuit"on page95.
Possible cause: Water pressure is too low.
6 Check the water volume. See "3.3Water circuit"on page95.
Possible cause: Water volume is too low.

1.4.9 89-02 – Water heat exchange freezing
abnormality

It is recommended to perform the checks in the listed
order.
1 Perform a check of the 4‑way valve. See "2.24-way valve" on
page38.
Possible cause: Faulty 4‑way valve.
2 Perform a check of the main PCB. See "2.17 Main PCB" on
page66.
Possible cause: Faulty main PCB.

abnormality

Possible cause: Faulty outlet water after plate type heat
exchanger thermistor.
2 Perform a check of the hydro PCB. See "2.14 Hydro PCB"on
page58.
Possible cause: Faulty hydro PCB.

temperature increase (during domestic
hot water without booster heater)
