Is the measured voltage on the
DC fan motor connector on the
inverter PCB correct?
Action
Yes Replace the DC fan motor
assembly, see "2.18.2Repair
procedures"on page75.
No Replace the inverter PCB, see

5 Measure the voltage on the DC fan motor connector pins 4-3.
The measured voltage MUST be 15VDC.
Is the measured voltage
correct?

Yes Skip the next step of this
procedure.
No Perform the next step of this
procedure.
6 Disconnect the DC fan motor connector from the inverter PCB
and measure the voltage on the connector pins 4-3 of the
connector on the inverter PCB. The voltage MUST be 15VDC.
Is the measured voltage on the
DC fan motor connector on the
inverter PCB correct?
Action
Yes Replace the DC fan motor
assembly, see "2.18.2Repair
procedures"on page75.
No Replace the inverter PCB, see
"2.15Inverter PCB"on page61.
7 Measure the voltage on the DC fan motor connector pins 4-2.
The measured voltage should be 0~10 V DC. It should not be
0VDC.
Is the measured voltage
0VDC?
Action
Yes Replace the inverter PCB, see
"2.15Inverter PCB"on page61.
No Replace the DC fan motor
assembly, see "2.18.2Repair
procedures"on page75.
8 Turn OFF the unit via the user interface.
9 Manually (slowly) rotate the fan blade propeller 1 turn and
measure the voltage on the DC fan motor connector pins 1-2. 4
pulses of 5VDC MUST be measured.
Pulses are measured during
fan blade propeller rotation?
Action
Yes Replace the main PCB, see
"2.17Main PCB"on page66.
No Replace the DC fan motor, see
"2.18.2Repair procedures"on
page75.

2.18.2 Repair procedures
To remove the propeller fan blade assembly
Prerequisite: Turn OFF the unit via the user interface.
Prerequisite: Turn OFF the respective circuit breaker.
Prerequisite: Remove the required plate work, see "2.19 Plate
work"on page77.
1 Remove the nuts that fix the air discharge grill and remove the
air discharge grill.
