2.2 Refrigerant Type
The TTS/TTH series compressors are totally oil-free and optimized for use with refrigerant R134a and R513A.
2.2.1 TGS/TGH Series
Turbocor compressors are designed to be applied only with the specific refrigerants as listed in "Table
2-1 Refrigerant Used with Turbocor Compressors". The ANSI/ASHRAE 34 Standard (Designation and
Safety Classification of Refrigerants) classification should be taken into account when designing and
applying Turbocor compressors. We also strongly recommend following the current ANSI/ASHRAE
Standard 15 (Safety Standard for Refrigeration Systems) or other applicable local standards for the
mechanical room design and application of all equipment using Turbocor compressors.
