5.9 DISPLAY TESTS
a. If the tests in the previous paragraphs do not clear any symptom of
malfunction, then the trouble may lie in the remaining active circuitry (the
display) or in the mechanical components not yet checked. Many of the
display malfunctions should be detected during the closed-case analyses
of paragraph 5-2. Check the operation of the inverters from 72 to the
respective digit segments, the current limiting resistors and the voltage-
limiting diode (CR16).

b. The meter should be recalibrated as described in Chapter 3 after any
repair action.
