PRELIMINARY
REMOVING THE COOKTOP
CAUTION: Make sure that the cooktop compo-
nents are cool before you begin.
1. Turn off the gas and disconnect power to
the cooktop.
2. Remove the grates from the cooktop.
Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before
operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
WARNING
3. Remove the burner cap and the port ring
from each of the burners.
4. Remove the 1-1/16″ venturi nuts from the
simmer rings and lift the rings off the
cooktop.
5. Remove the 13/16″ venturis from the burner
bases.

WARNING:
The cooktop must be supported from bot-
tom when removing maintop.
