PRELIMINARY
REMOVING AN IGNITION SWITCH AND VALVE
CAUTION: Make sure that the cooktop compo-
nents are cool before you begin.
1. Turn off the gas and disconnect power to
the cooktop.
2. Remove the cooktop (see page 26 for the
procedure).
3. Remove the four screws from the light
bracket, (two at each end), and position the
bracket out of the way of the valves and
switches.
Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before
operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
WARNING
4. To remove an ignition switch:
a) Push the C-ring off the valve shaft.
b) Disconnect the wires from the switch
terminals.
