IDE Subsystem Group
Because the Dell PowerEdge 6100 systems only support
small computer system interface (SCSI) hard-disk drives,
these categories are not used.
BIOS Language Support Group
Language Support Options (English [default], Ital-
iano [not supported], Español, Français, and
Deutsch)
To select a different language for the BIOS prompts,
it is better to use the system setup program as
described in Chapter 4. However, you can choose
another language with this option. After you select a
language, the system setup menus and BIOS infor-
mation will be displayed in that language; however,
the system configuration utility will continue to be
displayed in English.
KB and Mouse Subsystem Group

Typematic Speed (Auto [default], Slow, Medium, or
Fast)

Security Subsystems Group
The Dell PowerEdge 6100 systems feature several levels
of security features. The Set User Password category lets
you restrict access to your system at system boot. The Set
Administrative Password category lets you restrict access
to the system configuration utility program and system
setup program. The password options and other security
options can also be set using the system setup program
can also be using the system setup program.
NOTES: For more information on these security features,
see “Security Menu Categories” in Chapter 4 for more
information. The names of some categories differ
between the system setup program and system configura-
tion utility. Read “Using the Password Features” in
Chapter 4 for detailed instructions on assigning, using,
deleting, or changing a user password or administrative
password.

chapter for information on disabling a forgotten
password.
The options in the Security Subsystems group are:
