NOTE: Double width GPUs are supported only on riser conguration 4, and single width GPUs are supported only on riser
conguration 6.
NOTE: Ensure that x16 cards are installed only in x16 slots. Depending on the riser conguration slots 2, 7, or 8 may not be
available.
NOTE: Only half length PCIe cards are supported on riser 2 when NVDIMM-Ns with NVDIMM-N battery are installed on the air
shroud.
NOTE: For congurations that support GPU, maximum four single-wide and two double-wide GPUs are supported when
NVDIMM-Ns with NVDIMM-N battery are installed. Since NVDIMM-N battery is installed on the GPU shroud, GPUs are not
supported on riser 2.
Opening and closing the PCIe card holder latch
Before installing or removing a full length PCIe card, the PCIe card holder latch must be closed. When the full length PCIe card is installed,
open the PCIe card holder latch.
Prerequisites
1 Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
2 Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
Steps
1 To open the PCIe card holder latch, press the release tab.

2 To close the PCIe card holder latch, push the latch until it locks.
