1. Close the display and turn the computer over.
2. Remove the nine screws (M2.5x7) that secure the base cover to the palm-rest assembly.

3. Using a plastic scribe, release the tabs that secure the base cover to the palm-rest assembly and remove the base cover off
the palm-rest assembly.
