Prerequisites
1. Remove the base cover.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Remove the status-light board.
Procedure
1. Open the latches and disconnect the touch-pad cable from the system board.
2. Peel off the pieces of tape that secure the touch-pad to the palm-rest assembly.
