Prerequisites
NOTE: Remove the SD card before removing the palm-rest assembly to avoid damage to the SD card.
1 Remove the base cover.
2 Remove the battery (half-length) or the battery (full-length).
3 Remove the memory modules.
4 Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 4 in “Removing the hard drive”.
5 Remove the solid-state drive (half-length) or the solid-state drive (full-length).
6 Remove the speakers.
7 Remove the wireless card.
8 Remove the fans.
9 Remove the heat sink.
10 Remove the system-board assembly.
11 Remove the keyboard.
12 Remove the ngerprint reader daughter-board (optional).
13 Remove the display assembly.
14 Remove the power-adapter port.
Procedure
After performing the steps in the prerequisites we are left with the palm-rest assembly.
